What a beautiful place! I really enjoyed the virtual tour; as you descended the staircase, I found myself instinctively ducking my head. Congrats on completion!
We haven't met yet, unfortunantly, but we will! We are actually going to pick a weekend to go down to Toledo soon so my daughter can run around on the farm that I loved so much growing up (Andy and I are the same age and used to play all the time. In fact I am sure you have heard of "Holy Terror Andy and cousin Becky" stories? Well, that's me. And if you haven't heard the stories yet, I'm shocked since I'm 28 now and still hear the stories all the time!). I am Kathy's sister Gail's youngest daughter Becky. Confusing enough? ;) I have been watching your blog and am so excited for you guys that there is finally an end in sight!! Your house is breathtakingly beautiful!! I LOVE it! Tom is amazing at what he does and I recognize that star! I have a cutting board he made me that I use all the time...with the star! Well, anyway...when we come to visit, I'd love to see the house in person, if that's OK and finally meet you and Matt! Take care and congrats again! Becky
OK- Your home turned out just perfect! I bet you guys are so happy to finally be done. I just love it! All the wood work is amazing. I love the bathrooms, and the kitchen....ahhhh its awesome! Everything! Way to go, so much work went into this place!
Michelle, your last post was 2009 so who knows if you check this, but well done on the house! It looks beautiful! Email me at kemtjoy@att.net if you have time!
Short story: A pair of Angelinos head north - relocating to the little town of Winlock, WA (Egg Town because of the giant egg statue by the railroad tracks).
Long story: Having recently met her birthfather, Michelle and Matt decide to move closer to him and his family to get to know the new clan. They purchased a lovely 5 acre parcel of land and an old house sitting on someone else's land. The plan is to move the old house, referred to as "The Sister House", to their land and renovate it.

The house is beautiful. What an amazing feat to have created that! When's the house warming party? ;-)
